FUEL PUMP AND FILTER ASSEMBLY

A fuel pump and filter assembly is provided to enhance heat exchange efficiency between a fuel pump assembly and a filter chamber by sharing a common side wall between a fuel pump assembly and a housing. A fuel pump and filter assembly comprises a filter(16), a housing(14) and a fuel pump assembly(12). The housing supports the filter installed in a filter chamber(42) which is partially defined by a first wall(44), a second wall(46), an outer wall(48) extending between the first and second walls, and an inner wall(28) disposed at a radial inner side of the outer wall. The fuel pump assembly is supported by the housing at an inner side of the inner wall, and has a sleeve extending from the first wall to the second wall.
