A communication method in a wireless network and a wireless network system are provided to simplify processes when providing a presence service, thereby quickly providing the presence service. A communication method of a station(12) comprises the following steps of: performing a scanning process(S10); performing authentication with an access point(14) through a wireless network(S12); and transmitting one of an association request or a reassociation request including a present parameter through the wireless network, and receiving one of an association response or a reassociation response from the access point.
