An apparatus for cooperative diversity in an RS of an OFDMA downlink is provided to improve receiving performance through diversity effects obtained by simultaneously transmitting signals to the same time-frequency resource areas by using a BS and multiple RSs or obtained by transmitting the same information with a time interval, thereby improving receiving performance in a transmit target point RS. An apparatus for cooperative diversity in an RS of an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) downlink comprises the following parts. A BS(Base Station)(300) transmits a downlink signal. A relay RS(Relay Station)(310) receives the downlink signal from the BS and transmits the received downlink signal. A target RS(320) receives plural downlink signals from the BS or from the relay RS or the BS and the RS at a time or with a time interval in order to generate transmit diversity effects.
