A method for manufacturing ornamental materials for a key pad of a cellular phone is provided to mass-produce the ornamental materials at high speed by forming decorative patterns at high speed by the rotation of a cutting tool and the correspondent rotation of base metals. A method for manufacturing ornamental materials for a key pad of a cellular phone comprises the steps of: processing the ornamental material; placing the ornamental material on a rotary clamping unit; making a cutting tool interfere with the surface of the ornamental material in rotating the cutting tool, in order to form decorative patterns on the surface of the ornamental material by cut grooves of the cutting tool; rotating the cutting tool to process the surface of the ornamental material at the same time when the rotary clamping unit turns; and separating the ornamental material having the surface processed by the cutting tool, from the rotary clamping unit stopping by cutting off power. The total number of cut grooves is equal to RPM(Revolution Per Minute) of the cutting tool. The cutting tool has RPM corresponding to the number of cut grooves when the ornamental material turns one time. The ornamental material is obliquely fixed for the cutting tool. Single cut grooves are continuously repeated in a swirl form from the center of the ornamental material by cutting only a portion of one side of the ornamental material by the rotating cutting tool. |
