APPARATUS FOR COOPERATIVE DIVERSITY IN MOBILE STATION OF DOWN LINK USING RELAY STATION OF OFDMA SYSTEM

An apparatus for cooperative diversity in a downlink MS by using an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system based RS is provided to transmit signals to the same time/frequency resource areas at the same time, thereby improving receiving performance through diversity effects. A BS(Base Station)(300-1) transmits a downlink signal. An RS(Relay Station)(310-1) transmits the downlink signal from the BS to an MS(Mobile Station)(330). The MS receives the downlink signal which is transmitted from the BS and the RS and has increased receiving power by multiple signal sources, and provides the received downlink signal to a user. The BS and the RSs transmit the same signal to the MS in an assigned time-frequency resource area.
