The invention relates to an ozone generator, comprising two electrodes (3, 5) and a dielectric layer (15) arranged between the above such that between the dielectric layer (15) and one of the electrodes (5) an ozonising gap (13) is formed, through which an oxygen-containing gas can be run. In the direction of flow of the gas, a dielectric capacity (CD) of the dielectric layer (15) of the gas becomes smaller and/or layer thickness of the dielectric layer (15) becomes greater, such that a gap width of the ozonising gap (13) is greater on the inlet side than the outlet side. |
