A communication method in a wireless network and a wireless network system are provided to simplify the following presence processes by providing presence capability or location data in a step of preparing or setting a presence, thereby enabling station users to quickly use a presence service at a desired time. One station(12) transmits data including a location descriptor, including geographic coordinates and civic location, through a wireless network. The other station(14) receives the data including the location descriptor through the wireless network. The data including the location descriptor is included in allowed or supported one or more among a beacon or probe request, a probe response, a presence request, a present response, a presence configuration request, a presence configuration response, an association request, an association response, a reassociation request and a reassociation response.
