FIELD: radiation biology; evaluation of radiological safety of alimentary animal produce and plant production. ^ SUBSTANCE: method provides serologic testing of ethanol extracts from test specimens by performing the indirect agglutination reaction (IAR) with use of antiradiotoxic antibody erythrocyte diagnosticum (AED). The ethanol extracts are concentrated by evaporating at vacuum evaporator in order to receive sediment, which is serologically tested, after being diluted. Formalinised and tanised sheep erythrocytes sensitised by antiradiotoxic serum are used as specific antibody carrier. Judgment on existence of radiotoxin in tested samples is made relying upon the agglutination of sensitised erythrocytes phenomenon. The radiotoxin concentration is determined by evaluating maximal dilution of tested material when hemagglutination is observed and the maximal dilution 1:8 and below indicates the ecological safety of alimentary product. Rabbit hyperimmune serum is used to sensitise erythrocytes. Vegetable radiotoxin received by ethanol extraction of couched and irradiated grain, is used as immunising antigen-agent. ^ EFFECT: efficiency; high sensitivity; qualitative evaluation of ecological safety of alimentary product. ^ 5 cl, 1 tbl, 6 ex |
