<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine capable of shortening a drilling time. <P>SOLUTION: A scanner varies a travelling direction of a pulsed laser beam emitted from a laser light source so that the beam moves on the surface of a workpiece. A trigger controller sends out a trigger signal to the laser light source on the basis of stored irradiation conditions. A scanner controller, upon information of a moving command, controls the scanner in a manner that the pulsed laser beam enters a stored target position. A controller sets the irradiation conditions in the trigger controller, sets a target position in the scanner controller, and informs the moving command. The scanner controller, when the irradiation position of the pulsed laser beam is set at the target position, informs the trigger controller of the completion of the setting. The trigger controller, upon the information of the setting completion, sends out the trigger signal to the laser light source and, upon completion of the irradiation, informs the controller of the completion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
