PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink flight state determining device, an ink flight state determining method, a program, and an image recorder determining whether or not the landing of ink droplets onto recording media becomes proper by detecting the ink droplets during flying discharged from a nozzle. SOLUTION: Flight state detecting sections 22-1-1 to 22-m-n detect the flight states of the ink droplets 41-1 to 41-αduring flying discharged from the plurality of nozzles of a nozzle lines 9-1-1 to 9-n-m. A flight state determining section 27 predicts the landing position of the ink droplets 41-1 to 41-αonto the recording medium 15 based on the flight states of the ink droplets detected by the flight state detecting section 22-1-1 to 22-m-n and determines whether or not the landing of the ink droplets onto the recording medium 15 becomes proper based on the predicted result.
