PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-wave non-current-limiting superconducting fault current limiter equipped with an integrated high-speed switching module. SOLUTION: The superconducting fault current limiter, in which the minimum number of superconducting elements is arranged, includes circuits configured of a hybrid system made up of the superconducting elements (310), an integrated high-speed switching module (320), and a current-limiting load (330) by a hybrid system. During normal current, electric power supplied from a power supply source (300) is supplied to a system (350) without loss by using the inherent characteristics of the superconducting elements (310). At the occurrence of overcurrent caused by faults, such as thunderbolt, ground fault, short-circuiting, by limiting overcurrent after the half period of the fault current by a high-speed switching contact (324) and an arc change-over switch (326), which are integrally interlocked to each other by a drive coil (322), power devices including a circuit breaker on an electric power system can be operated normally.
