PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an opening angle of an original reading cabinet part by relatively simple operation. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus comprises a recording part 20, an original reading cabinet part 32 attached so as to freely open or close the recording part 20, a lock pin member 72 provided to the recording part 20, and an opening angle controlling member 70 having a pin movement control member 74 provided to the original reading cabinet part 32. A first pin movement hole 76 is formed in the pin movement control member 74 for controlling the opening angle of the original reading cabinet part 32 to a first angleθ1, by abutting the lock pin member 72 to the edge by a hole through which the lock pin member 72 can move. Also a second pin movement hole 78 is formed in the pin movement control member 74 for controlling the opening angle of the original reading cabinet part 32 to a second angleθ2 which is larger than the first angleθ1, by abutting the lock pin member 72 to the edge by a hole diverging from the first pin movement hole 76 and through which the lock pin member 72 can move.
