PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing material for a vehicle ceiling material capable of inexpensively and easily improving the rigidity of the vehicle ceiling material while maintaining weight reduction of the vehicle ceiling material. SOLUTION: A restraint layer 1 comprising glass cloth and a resin layer 2 including epoxy resin and a hardener are laminated to prepare the reinforcing material 3 for the vehicle ceiling material 4 having an adhesive strength of not less than 1.0 N/25 mm in a 90°peel test against a polyester non-woven fabric, and a flexural strength of not less than 10 N at a displacement of 1 mm and a maximum flexural strength of not less than 40 N after heating at 200°C for one minute in the state where the reinforcing material 3 has been applied to a 0.8 mm-thick steel sheet. The reinforcing material 3 for the vehicle ceiling material 4 is adhered to a portion required to improve the rigidity of the vehicle ceiling material 4. By heating and hardening the reinforcing material 3, the rigidity of the vehicle ceiling material 4 is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
