The method involves measuring closing times (T1, T2) and/or opening time by manufactured or attached sun roof closing systems (SD1, SD2). The quality of another sun roof closing system (SDZB) is evaluated based on another closing time (TZB) and/or opening time. The former uniform sun roof closing systems are made or built into a vehicle. The closing times are determined in the context of an initialization process. The closing times are read from a storage device of the vehicle and are transmitted to an external storage device for storing the whole closing time. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for evaluation of the quality of an automatic vehicle closing system (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for evaluation of the quality of an automatic vehicle closing system.
