The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program p roducts for offline execution of Web based applications. Embodiments of the present invention facilitate the local storage of Web based executable instr uctions and data at a computer system. The Web based executable instructions and data can be used to locally fulfill requests (directed to a domain that sent the executable instructions and data for storage) from modules associa ted with a Web browser at the computer system. Accordingly, locally stored W eb based executable instructions and data can be used at a computer system t o simulate communication with Web site when the Web site is otherwise unavai lable.
