DISPLAY DEVICE, DATA DRIVER AND DRIVING METHOD OF DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device suppressing the increase of area of a part other than an effective display region of a display panel while increasing the number of data lines time-divisionally driven by one output amplifier. SOLUTION: The display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel 1 and a data driver 6 which drives the display panel by outputting a driving voltage from a plurality of source outputs S. The data driver 6 comprises: a plurality of output amplifiers 17 which receive a gradation voltage corresponding to pixel data and output the driving voltage in accordance with the gradation voltage; and a demultiplexer 19 which is constituted so as to electrically connect the output amplifiers 17 to selected source outputs selected from among a plurality of source outputs S. On the other hand, the liquid crystal display panel 1 comprises: a plurality of data lines D; and a demultiplexer 5 which electrically connects a plurality of data lines D; and the demultiplexer 5 which electrically connects the source output S to data lines selected from among the plurality of data lines D.
