The screw has a spindle provided with an external screw thread, and a nut comprising an internal screw thread with uniform inclination. The balls run in the nut via ball channels forming the external and inner screw threads. Return devices (16, 17) made of plastic are provided for re-guiding of balls from an outlet of the channels to an inlet of the channels. A tensioning device (7) is provided for changing tolerance between the nut and the spindle by changing the nut diameter. The tensioning device extends over a longitudinal slot (15) and fixed at the nut at both sides of the slot.
