The belt drive (1) has a belt (2) and a swivelable generator supported against a spring unit (10) and designed as a clamping system (8). The spring unit assigned to the clamping system is compressed for mounting the belt, and a belt pulley (7) connected with an adjusting extender wheel (12) and attached as a deflection roller or a band tension pulley is adjustable between two end positions. A rotation-symmetrical formed part is provided as the extender wheel with a borehole for retaining a mounting screw (11).
