The device has a connection contact for an earth carrier, having electrical cables (L1, L2, L3, N, PE), which are connected with a mains supply (N) and with consumer load (V) of a house hold appliance. An interference suppression device is provided for high frequency interfering impulses during switching of the inductive loads. The interference suppression device is designed as a separate component, and has x-condensers (1) and y-condensers (2), which serves for interference suppression, where the component is inserted on the connection contacts of the cables.
