The procedure for galvanizing decoration elements (2) laterally fastened on a base element (1) of a multipart composite plastic component for decorating symbols or structures on the elements e.g. panels in automobiles, comprises forming a contact element for galvanizing the galvanizable elements. The elements alternately consist of galvanizable and non-galvanizable plastic. The electrical contacting takes place during galvanizing the respective galvanizable element by backside of the contact element protruding the base element. A slit is intended in the base element. The procedure for galvanizing decoration elements (2) laterally fastened on a base element (1) of a multipart composite plastic component for decorating symbols or structures on the elements e.g. panels in automobiles, comprises forming a contact element for galvanizing the galvanizable elements. The elements alternately consist of galvanizable and non-galvanizable plastic. The electrical contacting takes place during galvanizing the respective galvanizable element by backside of the contact element protruding the base element. A slit is intended in the base element beside the contact element in directly adjoinable manner. The lateral opening width of the slit is smaller or equal to the galvanic coating thickness and an electrolyte flow takes place through the slit. A fitting is removed after galvanizing. An independent claim is included for a composite plastic component.
