[PROBLEMS] To provide a white polyester film for a liquid crystal display reflective plate, which, when used in side light-type liquid crystal displays and downright-type liquid crystal displays, can realize a high level of brightness. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A white polyester film for a light reflective plate, comprising a white polyester film having a thickness of not less than 200 µm, wherein, in at least one side (side A) of the white polyester film, when the wavelength dependency of spectral reflectance at a wavelength of 450 to 600 nm is approximated according to the following formula by a least square method, M is M = -0.0110 (%/nm), and R560 = 100 (%). Approximation formula R = M x ? + B wherein R: light reflectance, %; ?: wavelength of light, nm; M: wavelength coefficient, %/nm; B: constant, %; and R560: estimated reflectance obtained by introducing ? = 560 into the approximation formula, %.
