<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance compact electrochemical reactor of high efficiency and constructed of high-density integrated electrochemical reaction cells. <P>SOLUTION: A cell integration unit has a structure using inside wall faces of all or a part of the throughholes included in an integration structure of throughholes, which have a throughhole size of 0.1-1 mm and are formed of an electrode material, as a structure support and an electrode layer for electrochemical reaction cells. The electrochemical reactor constructed of the cell integration unit and a manufacturing method for the electrochemical reactor are provided. When the electrochemical reaction cells with a size of 0.1-1 mm are integrated at high density in the throughhole integration structure formed of the electrode material, the high-performance compact electrochemical reactor such as a solid oxide fuel cell allowing high-efficiency operation at 600°C can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
