PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a manufacturing method capable of providing an outer ring for a radial ball bearing capable of securing practically sufficient accuracy even when finishing after hardening treatment is omitted. SOLUTION: An intermediate material 10 for the outer ring obtained by cold rolling is put in a hardening furnace along with a die 11 in a state fit in and supported by a support hole 13 provided in the die 11 used in the cold rolling. By this, the number of work procedures is reduced, the die 11 is used as a die for deformation prevention, and deformation following the hardening treatment is prevented in the intermediate material 11 for the outer ring.
