PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety fence device for a passenger conveyor capable of being erected and fixed so as to surround a platform by opening only one part of a manhole and drawing a safety fence body housed in a machine chamber onto the floor of the platform. SOLUTION: This safety fence device for a passenger conveyor comprises a partial cover 11a capable of sealing/opening one part of the manhole 5 formed on the floor 4 of the platform of the passenger conveyor 1, and the safety fence body 30 housed in the machine chamber 20 and capable of being erected so as to surround the platform by drawing it onto the floor 4 through one part of the opened manhole 5.
