PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding apparatus capable of complete bookbinding without causing binding failure and having high usability and an image forming device therewith. SOLUTION: This bookbinding apparatus 2, including a stack tray 22 loaded with a plurality of sheet materials and a binding device 27 for binding the plurality of sheet materials loaded on the stack tray 22, is provided with a humidifying nozzle 31 for humidifying a portion serving as a binding position of the sheet materials with the binding device 27.
