FLEXIBLE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS

A flexible electrode assembly (100) comprises a central portion (110) having electrical contacts (112, 114, 116 and 118) disposed thereon and a plurality of elongated portions (120, 130, 140 and 150) extending radially outwards from the central portion (110). One or more of the elongated portions (120, 130, 140 and 150) has an electrode (122, 132, 142 and 152) disposed in the vicinity of a distal end thereof. The electrodes (122, 132, 142 and 152) are electrically coupled to respective ones of the electrical contacts (112, 114, 116 and 118) disposed on the central portion (110). An apparatus for measuring electrophysiological signals in a human or animal body that incorporates the flexible electrode assembly (100) is also disclosed.
