<p>An improved air reducer for use in natural gas vehicles, notably an air reducer (1), more specifically an air-gas or air- fuel ratio reducer to be installed in natural gas conversion "kits", which allow vehicles to run either on gas or on the original fuel, distinguished by having a motor-driven closing element (2) whose circular geometry matches the inner diameter of the reducer (1), said closing element (2) having a circular minimum flow-by orifice (3) in the center that restricts the flow of air to the minimum required for natural gas mode when closed, but allows a greater amount of air to flow for alcohol or gasoline mode when open, providing the ideal mixture ratio for the motor it is installed in. The reducer (1) claimed also incorporates a seal ring (5) that impedes the air-gas or air- liquid fuel mixture from leaking.</p> |
