<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the mounting or removal of a lamp easily, and eliminate a possibility of destroying the lamp when the lamp is exchanged or fractionally recovered after disposing a device in a downright type backlight device used for a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A light source unit 2 in which the lamp 22 is mounted in a case 21 of which the upper face is opened and the inner peripheral face is a light reflecting face is installed so as to be taken in and out of the side face of a housing 1 of an upper face opening. From the viewpoint of further facilitating the mounting/removing work of the lamp, it is preferable that a connector 24 is formed on the side face of the case 21, and when the light source unit 2 is inserted into the housing 1, the connector 15 is formed on the inner side wall of the housing 1 opposed to the side face of the case 21, and the connector 24 and the connector 15 are connected to each other, and electric power is supplied to the lamp 22 by the insertion of the light source unit 2 into the housing 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
