<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically variable device (OVD) medium which facilitates authenticity discrimination by displaying a pattern, a character, a symbol or the like varying by a viewing angle and which prevents of structure of the OVD medium from being analyzed to further enhance forgery prevention effect and to provide an information printed matter equipped with the OVD medium. <P>SOLUTION: The OVD medium has a first image display area (11) composed of an irregular pattern for displaying a first image by interference and/or diffraction of light. In a part or the whole of the first image display area (11), a second image display area (13) composed of an irregular pattern having height and/or depth different from height and/or depth of the irregular pattern in the first image display area is provided.
