<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket contact mountable to a printed board, having high contact pressure, and small in height. <P>SOLUTION: This socket contact is provided with a base part 2 installed on a printed board 1p, and a contact connection part 3 arranged on both first wings of the base part 2, and connected to a mating contact. The base part 2 includes an opening 21 for inserting the mating contact therein, and a pair of first lead parts 2a and 2b solderable to the printed board 1p. The contact connection part 3 includes an elastic arm 3a, first reversing arms 3b reversing toward the elastic arm 3a, a rigid arm 3c, second reversing arms 3d reversing toward the rigid arm 3c, and a second lead part 3e solderable to the printed board 1p.
