<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a welding method that facilitates laser welding of a galvanized steel sheet without causing weld defects. <P>SOLUTION: Steel sheets 1, 2 are overlapped on each other for laser welding. At least one of the steel sheets 1, 2 is a galvanized steel sheet, to which the laser welding is performed by holding, between the overlapped part 16 of the steel sheets 1, 2, an insert layer 24 containing at least copper. The insert layer 24 is formed with powders containing at least copper. During the welding, zinc and copper form an alloy, suppressing generation of zinc vapor, which prevents generation of weld defects. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
