PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip to get rid of creaking sound generated by relative movement of a lamp by causing no relative movement of the lamp in the direction of its circumference when the clip is expanded and contracted by temperature changes, and to provide a light source device. SOLUTION: This clip is equipped with two pinching pieces 34. 35 having abutting parts 31, 32 abutting on two circumferential positions of a lamp 2 having a cylindrical cross-section, and a holding pedestal 36 which holds the two pinching pieces 34, 34 and in which an abutting part 33 abutting on the circumferential surface of the lamp 2 is provided between the pinching pieces 34, 35. Cavities 3a, 3b, 3c to deflect the abutting parts 31, 32, 33 when the clip is thermally expanded are provided in the pinching pieces 34, 35 and the holding pedestal 36, and thermal expansion is absorbed by deflection of the abutting parts 31, 32, 33 to get rid of creaking sound generated by relative movement of the lamp 2 and the abutting parts 31, 32, 33.
