PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in rolling resistance and wet performance by improving the dispersive properties of silica for inducing excellent rubber physical properties by blending the silica. SOLUTION: This rubber composition containing 20 to 120 pts.wt. silica based on 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber is characterized in that the silica contains a surface-treated silica treated with a silane-coupling agent having 3 to 10 peak intensity at -45 ppm in a solid high resolution<SP>29</SP>Si-NMR spectrum by setting the peak intensity around -80 to -120 ppm as 100. The surface-treated silica is obtained by treating it with 2 to 15 wt.% silane-coupling agent based on the weight of the silica in an organic solvent at a room temperature to 160°C, and preferably removing the organic solvent after the treatment.
