PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the waiting period, when switching two or more kinds of measurements. SOLUTION: A method is provided which measures two or more kinds of the electrical characteristics of a measuring object, connected to a first conductor of a coaxial line having a first conductor; a second conductor surrounding the first conductor and a third conductor surrounding the second conductor, by switching a first measurement apparatus; and a second measurement apparatus connected to a switching device. The method comprises a step of applying a voltage for measuring a first electrical characteristic to the first conductor by using the first measurement apparatus and applying a potential, which is identical to that of the first conductor, to the second conductor, when the first measurement apparatus is electrically connected to the measuring object 100 by the switching device; a step of disconnecting the first measurement apparatus, from the measuring object and electrically connecting the second measurement apparatus to the measuring object by using the switching device; and a step of measuring second electrical characteristic of the measuring object by using the second measurement apparatus.
