PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the reinforcing device of a tread which makes mountable a reinforcing fitting without forming a mounting hole in the tread. SOLUTION: The reinforcing device is comprised of a fitting 3 at the support mounting side which is formed in an almost right-angled triangle comprising a vertical side A, a horizontal side B, and an oblique side C in a side view and is mounted on a support 1 and a fitting 4 at the tread mounting side with an almost U-shaped or channel-shaped cross section which is fitted to the tread 2 from the upward or downward direction thereof and is coupled with the fitting 3 at the support mounting side. The fitting 3 at the support mounting side comprises a mounting plate 5 which is located along the vertical side A of the right-angled triangle and is joined to the inner surface of the bottom wall 1a of the support 1 with a channel-shaped cross section by bolts and a hollow square frame fitting body 6 with a pair of left and right side walls 6a, 6a each having the horizontal side B and the oblique side C of the right-angled triangle. Both the ends 4a, 4a of the fitting 4 at the tread rung mounting side fitted to the tread rung 2 are joined to both the side walls 6a, 6a of left and right walls of the fitting body 6.
