PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color light-emitting element with superb durability and efficiency. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element contains at least (a) a light-emitting layer at least containing a phosphorescent material having a metal complex system host material and a condensed-ring aromatic skeleton as a ligand, and (b) a light-emitting layer containing at least a platinum complex system phosphorescent material having a ligand of four seats, between a pair of electrodes.
