PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector which enables a maintenance of a high decontamination efficiency even if a charged electric power is decreased, and has a long life. SOLUTION: A discharge atmosphere is produced between a discharge plate 1 and a grounding plate 2 opposed and provided mutually in parallel, and a charging part (EP) charging particles passing through here is provided. The discharge plate 1 is a long plate body, and at both the side edges 12, 13 a plurality of discharge projections 11 are formed longitudinally at intervals.
