PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the feature of the golf swing of each golfer, especially the degree of setting hands ahead of a ball in an impact state, without using a large-scale apparatus. SOLUTION: On a projection plane viewing from the side facing a golfer posing in a setup state, the golf club head of a golf club from the upper side of a horizontal plane, timings at which a plurality of measurement points set along the golf club shaft of a golf club respectively pass through a passing reference line preset on the projection plane are respectively detected. On the basis of the information of the passing timings of the respective measurement points detected in a passing timing detection step and the moving speed information of the golf club head in the impact state, an evaluation value indicating the posture of the golf club shaft in the impact state is calculated and output.
