The reamer (1) has a base body (3) with a front side (7), a geometrically defined cut and an inner coolant/lubricant supply. A coolant/lubricant channel (17) with a channel section (19) of the supply flows directly to the cut. A clamping chamber extends from a mouth of the channel section in a direction of the front side of the base body. The cut is a part of a measuring plate (5), which is inserted into a groove that is brought into the base body. The groove cuts the mouth of the channel section. The measuring plate consists of tungsten carbide, cermet, ceramics and cubic drilling nitrite. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a reamer.
