<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a cell using nonaqueous electrolyte containing ionic liquid hardly delivers a high performance when associated with carbon negative electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode is selectively made of carbon material having a plane spacing of (002) plane of not less than 0.34 nm, referred to as non-graphitized carbon or graphitization retarding carbon, and further the nonaqueous electrolyte includes ionic liquid and a cyclic carbonate with vinylene carbonate and vinyl ethylene carbonate added. This provides a battery having an excellent charge-discharge cycle properties and high efficiency discharge properties which cannot be obtained in a case where the negative electrode is made of carbon, and further suppresses the usage of additive agent such as vinylene carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
