<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an image forming device that prevents the temperature of a temperature increase part from increasing up to a prescribed temperature or higher, even when the mode is shifted from operating mode to a standby mode deteriorated in heat exchange capability of cooling liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling device for image forming device deteriorated in heat exchange capability of the cooling liquid by a heat radiating part 7 in the standby mode has a circulation pipe 6, provided to pass through a writing device 3 and a developing device 4; a pump 8 for making the cooling liquid circulate, and the heat radiating part 7 for heat-exchanging with the cooling liquid that circulates. The cooling device includes a second storage tank 10 for storing the cooling liquid; tubes 13a, 13b for connecting the second storage tank 10, juxtaposed at an arbitrary position of the circulation pipe 6; three-way valves 14a, 14b switchable to the side of the tubes 13a, 13b or to the side of the circulation pipe 6 in each connection part for connecting the tubes 13a, 13b; and a control device 15 for performing switching control of the three-way valves 14a, 14b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
