<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To couple female and male members of a pipe joint without looseness therebetween but to easily separate the female and male members from each other if a sealing member between both the members attaches to the both. <P>SOLUTION: An externally threaded portion 44 is formed in a periphery of the male member 14 to screw a nut 48 into the externally threaded portion 48. With the female and male members coupled together by a locking member 24, the nut is screwed to press an end face of a male-member side of the female member 12 and thereby the looseness in the coupling between the female and male members is absolutely eliminated.
