<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing an optical device with improved yield by reducing or suppressing fogging, cloudiness or the like occurring on the surface of the optical device when the optical device comprising fluorophosphate glass is munufactured by a precision press molding. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical device comprises heating a preform comprising fluorophosphate glass and precise-press-molding the preform using a mold for press molding, wherein at least a part of a molding surface of the mold comprises a non-carbon based molding surface material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
