PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correcting method for uniformly and repeatedly forming a film thickness desired in only a correction opening and a correction film 25 of chrominance in a method of correcting a color filter for correcting defects by providing correction ink using an application needle in the correction opening S1. SOLUTION: The method of correcting the color filter includes: (1) a process for promoting scattering of a pigment in the correction ink by irradiating a correction ink pot 27 with an ultrasonic wave; (2) a process for providing an application film 46 of a size stored in the correction opening in the correction opening by inserting the application needle in the correction ink pot and adhering the correction ink; (3) a process for spreading the application film in the correction opening by applying ultrasonic vibration; (4) a process for observing spreading of the application film and chrominance; (5) a process for repeating the above processes until the chrominance turns into chrominance of a colored pixel; and (6) a process for curing the application film to make the application film 45.
