PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for being attached to a sliding door, which enables a disabled person in a wheelchair and an aged person walking with a stick to readily perform an opening operation. SOLUTION: This handle 2 is formed in such an approximately rectangular shape as to comprise a main grip portion 4, an auxiliary grip portion 5, and upper and lower grip portions 12 and 6, which are positioned on a door end side. Upper and lower arms 3a and 3b, which are to be mounted on the sliding door 1, are provided at the upper and lower ends of the main grip portion 4 of the handle 2, and a horizontal grip portion 7 is provided between the upper and lower grip portions 12 and 6.
