PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular brake control unit and a vehicular brake control method which enable a reduction in a driver's uncomfortable feeling when a vehicle starts if a brake control in turning is carried out on the vehicle in a halt. SOLUTION: An ECU imparts a braking force BP to an inside rear wheel in a turning direction of the vehicle by carrying out the brake control in turning when determining a steering angle A of a steering wheel is equal to or more than a steering angle threshold KA. In this state, if vehicle speed VS of the vehicle is less than a preset decreasing vehicle speed threshold KVS2, the ECU makes the braking force BP with respect to the inside rear wheel in the turning direction of the vehicle smaller than the braking force imparted to the inside rear wheel in the turning direction of the vehicle when the vehicle speed VS is equal to or more than the decreasing vehicle speed threshold KVS2.
