PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disconnecting device which is operated at an opening and closing speed lower than that of disconnecting operation, and in which operating energy is suppressed to reduce an impact force accompanied by opening and closing. SOLUTION: The disconnection device is provided with a vacuum valve 10 having a pair of contacts 9 in manner of free contact and separation, an upper main circuit conductor 4 which is fixed to the fixing side of the vacuum valve 10 and fixed to one end of an insulating support insulator 2, a lower main circuit conductor 7 which is installed at the movable side and fixed to the other end of the insulating support insulator 2 and with which a movable side current-flowing shaft 13 slide-contacts, an insulating operating rod 17 which is connected to the movable side current-flowing shaft 13 end, and an operating mechanism 1b which is connected to the insulating operating rod 17.
