A method for service-oriented architecture (SOA) process decomposition and service modelling, wherein a meta-data model is a formalisation of said SOA, comprising the steps of: identifying meta-data entities, attributes of said meta-data entities and relationships between stereotypes of said meta-data model; managing said meta-data model for creating, modifying and removing modelling artifacts; and creating modelling templates from said meta-data model to facilitate addressing needs of industry-specific applications.
