<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for inkjet recording which are excellent in image uniformity among various recording mediums and capable of suppressing a nonuniformity of a line width, color nonuniformity or others due to ink blurring and unification of droplets and which are also capable of maintaining a uniform dot diameter in the case when an image part of a low dot density (e.g. an image having a low resolution or density) is recorded and capable of making detailed recording in a high density and with an excellent reproduction irrespective of an image form without depending on the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording method comprises an undercoating solution applying process for applying an undercoating solution containing a polymer on the recording medium, a curing process for half-curing the applied undercoating solution, and a recording process for recording the image by discharging ink curable by irradiation with an activation energy beam onto the half-cured undercoating solution.
