<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a sheet position with high accuracy by adjusting required reference light generation amount under a normal sheet feed state with a simple structure regardless of variations in output values in parts. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming device which has a sheet position detecting device for detecting a sheet position in an orthogonal direction to a sheet feed direction, and in which the sheet position detecting device is formed out of a light-emitting part and a light-receiving part, the light-emitting part has at least one light-emitting element, and a plurality of light-receiving elements are laid in the light-receiving part, the sheet position detecting device is converted to a unit device, and the sheet position detecting device can be automatically moved to the light-emitting amount adjusting position in a main scan direction during adjusting the light-emitting amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
